Located close to Busan, Jinhae is a small and peaceful town situated on a coast that is stunning filled to the brim with cherry blossom trees. In the early spring season, a huge festival is held to commemorate the occasion. There, thousands upon thousands of trees form some of the best sights you’ll ever see.
4. Jeju Island
Speaking of sights that will take your breath away, Jeju Island is undeniably one of the most stunning places in the world. It has been dubbed one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature because of its untouched, natural appeal. On Jeju Island, you’ll find beaches filled with immaculate white sand, forests of pine, volcanic craters, and lava caves. You’ll also find vibrant gardens and an island chock full of culture.
5. Upo Wetland
Known as the largest inland wetland in all of Korea, this is the ideal spot for all the nature lovers out there. Upo Wetland has been estimated to have been formed more than 100 million years ago. It is no wonder nearly 1500 species of plant life and wildlife can be found there. Unfortunately, quite a lot of them are considered endangered animals. Bird-watching hobbyists will be glad to note, however, that plenty of migratory birds are known to make appearances here.
